Now-Chairman/CEO Rob Russo says the 3PL's new leader is a "dynamic team builder" who spearheaded a key acquisition and expansion in 2022.

Effective Jan. 1, 2023, Jeff Ramella was promoted to president of Port Jersey Logistics, with CEO Rob Russo moving into the Chairman's role."
Over the past 20 years, Russo built Port Jersey Logistics into a leading full-service third-party logistics provider to customers in the food and beverage space and other industries requiring warehousing and dry & temperature-controlled freight transportation. Now, Ramella aims to develop strategies to keep the organization moving forward.

Ramella joined Port Jersey Logistics in 2020 as Director of Business Development and was promoted to Corporate Vice President a year ago. Before joining Port Jersey Logistics, Ramella spent nearly 17 years at Worldwide Express, a company he helped grow from the ground up into a $35 million annual sales operation covering four states.
Russo said Ramella's entrepreneurial spirit and thought leadership is evident throughout the Port Jersey organization, which includes Tyler Distribution, Continental Logistics, and 21st Century Distribution.
"Jeff has helped drive significant improvements in process and structure, spearheaded new initiatives in technology and expansion through acquisition, and opened the doors to new regional operations," Russo said.
In 2022, Ramella led the efforts to acquire TruckItNow Transportation, which broadened Continental Logistics nationwide reach, and the planned opening of a new 281,000-square-foot food-grade warehouse in Savannah, Ga.
