This strategic move into the nation’s fourth-busiest port will serve the growing customer demand for reliable logistics services and the increasing trend among businesses to seek enhanced import options on the East Coast.

This expansion push began in late 2022 when Tyler Distribution leased a 281,000 sq. ft. Class A warehouse in Savannah that offers food-grade facilities, omnichannel e-commerce capabilities, and a large, secure container yard. The facility also accommodates office space for Continental Logistics, which handles all domestic transportation services for Port Jersey customers.
Since then, Port Jersey has actively recruited and hired skilled operations staff, forged partnerships with local business associations and development authorities, and engaged in ongoing employee training and support. “This comprehensive approach underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional service and meeting the unique logistics needs of businesses in the region,” Ramella said.
This strategic move into the second-largest East Coast port—a primary maritime route for trade between the U.S. and countries in Asia, Latin America, and Europe—positions the Port Jersey family of brands for immense growth. According to industry data, in 2022, the Port of Savannah handled 5,763,711 TEUs, a number projected to grow by 750,000 TEUs in 2023.
